Description

Tiger Ceramic Trimmable 4.5 inch flap discs offer a curved flap flap design that is ideal for grinding steel and stainless steel fillet welds, T-joints and other hard-to-reach places. The flaps wrap around the edge of the backing plate, optimizing flap-to-metal contact and providing exceptional feel and control while grinding. A top coat protects high-value parts stainless steel parts from heat discolorization and also prevents loading on soft alloys like aluminum. Ceramic grains utilize a crystalline structure that is designed with millions of fracture points that self-sharpen at a higher rate than other grains. The result is a high material removal rate, cool grinding, and reduced friction at less pressure which reduces operator fatigue. The type 29 conical disc shape maximizes surface contact when grinding between 15∞ ñ 35∞ for aggressive stock removal while the 40 grit abrasive grain is best for edge beveling, chamfering, weld grinding, and blending with a right angle grinder.
